WEBApr 13, 2022 · Hey, I tried to remap two of my buttons on my Fire TV remote for apps I use more than the ones they were originally designed for. I have followed several tutorials but failed. I live in Germany so I thought maybe something is different here, but even after following German tutorials (which were the same) it did’t work.

WEBJul 29, 2023 · Roku ha them years before Fire TV did. I don't think the shortcut buttons are an "integral part of the product"; I never use them on Roku or Fire TV. They are of marginal benefit. (With my Fire TV Max I use the old remote from my Fire TV 4K that doesn't have shortcut buttons.)
