WEB1363 posts · Joined 2000. #1 · Jun 1, 2001. I do not know of a lawn mower junk yard. I have seen snowmobile junk yards. When I first started peices were always falling off my homeowner mower, and I would find mowers set out for trash, and I proceeded to pick the bones clean. My question.

At the time they were paying nearly $10 per 100 lbs. The rate, here, is down to to $7. The secret is to find the best rate, and take a whole trailer load of scrap.

WEBJun 2, 2019 · For only one gear have you talked to a machinist. Definitely not as cheap as paying $30 for a used one but a lot better than $6500. Yes that was where I went after the other new sources. Its about £1200 to get one made. Its a helical bevel gear and pinion I need and to get a one off made is not cheap.

Tranny was replaced last year in March. He asked me if I could fix it, of course I said yes, just get the part. Took about an hour and it was back to its great self. 3rd tranny!!!

Most of the parts have been subsituted or are no longer available. Tecumseh is no longer in business. Your best bet is to try to find a mower junk yard and get what you need there.
