Shop Layout for 30' x 50' - Pirate 4x4
WEBJul 27, 2004 · Shop -- take II I suck at paint (understatement). Still trying to get an idea of how to layout the shop. Looks like the SO has agreed to a METAL building (0ne story). Extra room for the house will be under the roof (second story addition for 400 sq ft). So back to the shop. 30' x 50' x 14' (I like camo's comment about going UP!).

WEBMay 27, 2005 · I just drew up some plans for a 30 ton on AutoCAD. I haven't started the build yet, but I studied a bunch of pictures of presses in Northern Tools catalog, and other places on the web. I'm thinking about 3x4" angle 1/4" thick for the legs. 2 pieces welded together for each leg. Then using 4" channel for the bed and top frame.

I know it isn't a waste oil heater, but from the magazine that we first found the article in they guy who built it said it kept his shop heated for like $30-$40 a month.

The basics: 200 amp service 12’ tall 16’ wide insulated garage door 6 windows on 3 sides for cross ventilation Metal ceiling 40’x8’ loft for added storage, you can never have enough room.

WEBJan 18, 2005 · Final plans look much like this. This will be 20 x 40 in the end of a 40x 60 shop with 16' eaves to allow for storage above the living space. In the remaining 40 x 40 there will be (3) 10' x 14 high roll up doors. Far door from apt will be RV storage. middle will have a lift right in the middle of the 40' front to back.
