Another Boston Red Sox infielder has gone down with an injury. Star third baseman Alex Bregman exited Friday afternoon's game against the Baltimore Orioles (GameTracker) with what the team called right quad tightness.

As good of a win as it was, it also was nerve-wracking as star third baseman Alex Bregman was forced to leave the game early due to a quad injury. When he initially left the game, there was a real fear that it could be a serious injury.

Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman was removed in the fifth inning of Friday’s opening game of a doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles with right quad tightness.
