The Movie' starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris has grossed $293 million globally, surpassing other Apple releases at the box office.

Apple's latest theatrical release, F1, has been a roaring success with audiences — but will likely only just break even in its cinema run.

But the movie cost at least $350 million to make and market, analysts said, so it will need to attract substantial crowds in the weeks ahead to make money.
