Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin filed a consumer protection lawsuit Monday against Google, YouTube and their parent companies, accusing the digital behemoths of intentionally targeting children with addictive and harmful content.

Saying that they have deliberately exploited young people and contributed to the state’s mental health crisis, Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced Monday he is suing Google, YouTube, and their parent company Alphabet.

Arkansas has sued YouTube and its parent company Alphabet, saying the video-sharing platform is deliberately addictive and fueling a mental health crisis among youth.
