The Dark Knight would grace screens many, many, many times in the years to come, but as much as I love Christopher Nolan’s Bat-flicks, Batman and Batman Returns remain eternal thanks to the stamp of a filmmaker with a vision as graphic as the pencilers and colorists who owned Batman before him.

So for the re-release heads, that’s Batman and its sequel on August 25, the Spider-Man movies on September 26, and Casper on October 3. And if that weren’t enough, Disney’s already locked down the original Star Wars to come back to theaters for its 50th anniversary on April 30, 2027.

Two of the biggest superhero movies of the twentieth century are coming back to theaters for one night. The Tim Burton directed "Batman" and "Batman Returns" will screen exclusively in Dolby Cinema locations on August 25.
