Reinier de Ridder dealt Bo Nickal his first career MMA defeat, scoring a KO at 1:53 of the second round during UFC Fight Night on Saturday. With the win, de Ridder improves his professional record to 20-2, while Nickal falls to 7-1.

After he delivered a left strike that staggered Bo Nickal backwards, UFC middleweight Reinier de Ridder (20-2) surged forward with a left knee to his opponent’s abdomen. Nickal (7-1) collapsed near the cage before the referee called the fight in round two in favor of the Netherlands-born fighter.

Bo Nickal’s undefeated run in the UFC came to a crushing end courtesy of a Reiner de Ridder knee to the liver in the second round of Saturday night’s UFC Des Moines event.
