Hours after New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge closed the gap in the AL's classic-in-the-making home run race, Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh extended his lead once again.

Raleigh is the first player this season to the 30-homer mark. Yes, a catcher beat the likes of Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani to 30. This is now Raleigh's third 30-homer season, joining Hall of Famers Mike Piazza (nine times), Johnny Bench (four times) and Roy Campanella (four times) as the only catchers in history with three 30-homer seasons.
