As announced on Thursday, the Panthers and running back Chuba Hubbard have agreed to a long-term contract extension. The pact, as first reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, will span over four years—with $37.2 million in maximum value and $15 in new guaranteed money.

Chuba Hubbard is in the midst of a career year with the Panthers. Carolina is rewarding him with a lucrative, four-year contract extension.

The Panthers reached the midway-ish point of the season (the 17-game schedule makes the math trickier) with a 2-7 record, having matched last season’s win total with a come-from-behind, 23-22 victory over a bad New Orleans team last week at Bank of America Stadium.
