Snow accumulation is likely for the Denver metro area and a winter weather advisory is now in effect. It's a First Alert Weather Day due to the new Colorado snow that's blasting through the area. Snow will begin to stick to roadways early Thursday evening.

Temperatures fell below freezing at about 5 p.m. on Sunday and are expected to stay there until around 11 a.m. Friday, putting Denver on track to see nearly 115 hours of frigid temperatures.

It may be a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day Thursday into Friday due to an impending snowstorm, but FOX31 Pinpoint Weather Chief Meteorologist Dave Fraser is tracking temperatures in the mid-60s within the next week.
