Aston Villa youngster Louie Barry is quietly emerging as a top young talent this season. The 21-year-old has been very impressive in League One during a loan spell at Stockport County.

Nathan Aspinall is best known for throwing darts, but on Saturday night he was throwing compliments the way of Stockport County striker Louie Barry following his match-winning performance against Wrexham.

Louie Barry's eye-catching goal settled League One's top-six clash as Stockport beat Wrexham 1-0. The sides were non-League rivals two years ago but Wrexham rarely troubled the Stockport goal on this occasion and the hosts ran out deserving winners.

Dave Challinor hailed match-winner Louie Barry after his superb strike earned Stockport a 1-0 victory at home to top-six rivals Wrexham. The two sides have been locked together through the climb from non-League football to League One.

The Aston Villa man was coming off the back of two relatively quiet loan spells with MK Dons and Salford City. Despite that, manager Dave Challinor and director of football Simon Wilson felt they’d seen enough, and were delighted to land his temporary switch to Edgeley Park.
