More than a dozen state attorneys have sued TikTok, accusing the platform of using addictive product features.

In separate lawsuits filed Tuesday, the states allege that TikTok was deliberately designed to get children addicted to the app.

New Jersey on Tuesday joined with 13 other states in suing TikTok, accusing the online video platform of being addictive and harmful to children. State Attorney General Matthew Platkin said the lawsuit targets TikTok for violating the state’s Consumer Fraud Act,
