Pueblo police are investigating a Thursday morning double shooting and homicide, according to a recent news release.

According to Pueblo police, officers were called out at around 1:50 a.m. to the 1100 block of Egan Avenue, near Santa Fe Avenue and Highway 50, on a report of a shooting. When police arrived on scene, they said they found one male dead and another with a single gunshot wound.

A Pueblo man was killed and another victim was injured in a double shooting early Thursday morning. Pueblo police responded to a shooting in southern Pueblo just before 2 a.m. and found one man dead and another injured from a single gunshot wound, the agency said in a statement early Thursday evening. The surviving victim was taken to the hospital.

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said a man found dead in the driveway of a home on Wednesday, Dec. 25 is being investigated as a homicide. According to PPD, on Wednesday, at around 7 a.m. officers were called to the 2600 block of Himes Avenue near Lake Minnequa about an unconscious person
