Hunter Dobbins pitched six shutout innings to beat the Yankees for the second time in a week, and the Boston Red Sox won their fourth straight game on Saturday night, 4-3 over New York.

Once the Yankees finally got a rally going against the Red Sox, they killed it quicker than it started because of a boneheaded play.

Red Sox rookie Hunter Dobbins made news earlier this month when he said he hated the Yankees so much that he would retire if his only other choice was to play for them. At this point the Yankees would welcome that. They’ve seen enough of the 25-year-old righthander.

Alex Bregman popped out of the dugout at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, long before the Red Sox played the Yankees. He was accompanied by strength and conditioning coach Kiyoshi Momose and they went right to work on the outfield grass behind second base.
