Rafael Devers said he knew immediately after hitting the first home run of his San Francisco Giants career on Saturday against his former teammates on the Boston Red Sox that the ball was going out of Oracle Park.

Rafael Devers hit his first home run for San Francisco against his former team and the Giants beat the Boston Red Sox 3-2 just six days after the big trade between the two teams.

Brayan Bello, his good friend and now-former teammate, provided a fastball on the outer third of the plate in the bottom of the third inning. Devers, as he did so many times across nine seasons with the Red Sox, launched it the other way to left field.
