"I am immensely proud that Syl is being recognized by the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame," Lynx coach and president of basketball operations Cheryl Reeve said in a statement. "Syl is the most dominant center to ever play in the WNBA and was an impossible matchup on both ends of the floor.

The women's basketball Hall of Fame class of 2025 was announced on Friday, and the list includes four former college basketball stars who went on to shine at in the WNBA. The class will be inducted next June during a ceremony that will take place at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville.

LSU great Sylvia Fowles will soon be enshrined into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

Sue Bird Sue Bird is a Seattle Storm legend and is widely considered one of the greatest players in the WNBA history. Bird is a 13-time All-Star and a 4-time WNBA champion. She’s also won five Olympic gold medals and two NCAA championships.
