The Princess of Wales has revealed she is in remission from cancer, using the word to describe where she is in her journey for the first time. She gave the update in a personal message on social media following a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, south-west London, where she was treated, to comfort fellow patients.

For the treatment, which concluded in September, Kate attended the Royal Marsden Hospital in central London and on Tuesday she paid an official visit there to mark her becoming joint patron of its specialist cancer unit along with her husband Prince William.

The visit to the Marsden comes two days before the first anniversary of Kate's admittance to the London Clinic for major abdominal surgery on January 16, 2024

In a statement on social media, the princess offered her heartfelt thanks to those who helped her and her husband Prince William.
