The film has shared news of its cast, which includes some of the most exciting actors working today, including Tom Holland and Zendaya, in their fourth project together, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Matt Damon .

Universal has officially announced Christopher Nolan's next movie is an adaptation of the seminal ancient Greek epic poem attributed to Homer. Nolan fans have been desperate to know what the Interstellar director has been cooking up as his next project since it was announced with Matt Damon attached as a lead actor back in October.

Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon and more are set to star in the adaptation of the Greek epic Christopher Nolan is tackling a classic epic as his next project. On Monday, Dec. 23, Universal Pictures revealed that the Oppenheimer director will be adapting Homer’s The Odyssey into a star-studded feature set to release in 2026.

“Christopher Nolan’s next film The Odyssey is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026,” the statement read.

Nolan is also behind epic films including “Inception,” “The Dark Knight,” “Dunkirk” and his most recent film “Oppenheimer,” which scored big at last year’s Oscars when it took home the trophy for best picture. Nolan won that award as a producer, and also took home the Academy Award for best director.
