Amazon has released another wave of official offers for Prime Big Deal Days, its members-only "October Prime Day" sale on Oct. 8 and 9 — and among its selection of tablet deals is a heavily discounted new Fire HD 8.

October 9th update: Google has responded to Amazon’s Prime Day sale with its own discounts. The Pixel 8a has been discounted by $50, bringing it down to $449. There are also enhanced trade-in prices, which includes $135 for the Pixel 6a and a maximum value of $400 if the Pixel 7 Pro is handed over. Obviously this wouldn’t be a good trade to make.

The tablet that's garnered rave reviews from shoppers is still reduced by 47% in the Prime Day sales, but shoppers will need to hurry to snap it up, as deals are ending soon
