EU trade ministers have agreed that US President Donald Trump's announcement of 30 per cent tariffs on the European Union was "absolutely unacceptable", and they are studying a new set of countermeasures to respond to the move.

The EU also faces 25% U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminium tariffs, on cars from Thursday and on car parts within a month, with pharmaceuticals possibly to come.

EU should reduce all tariffs on U.S. goods to zero and let Trump do the same. That would be fair and square. And Trump couldn’t be yelling about how the EU is ripping the U.S. off.
