Storm victims in Kentucky and Missouri are digging through tornado-stricken neighborhoods and clearing debris after severe weather swept through parts of the Midwest and South, leaving more than two dozen people dead.
Meteorologists with the NWS Paducah office have also confirmed several tornadoes in its region the afternoon and evening of May 16. Three tornadoes impacted western Kentucky, including an EF-3 tornado in Morganfield with winds of 155 mph, an EF-2 tornado in Allegre and an EF-2 tornado in Casky.

This morning's EF-2 tornado in Washington County arrived only two weeks after tornadoes caused massive damage in Somerset and London, but forecasters aren't exactly surprised by the rash of severe weather.
