A student-led strike in Belgrade hut down businesses and drew tens of thousands of people to demonstrations around the country.

However, three protesters in Novi Sad were attacked on Monday and blamed members of Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party, SNS. A young woman reportedly sustained head injuries and was hospitalized.

Security was swiftly alerted to the situation and the woman, who has not been named, was detained. Police confirmed that the Serbian woman has been charged with trespassing as a result of her antics.
