Several Ohio stores are among some 200 Big Lots stores could remain open, per a bankruptcy court filing. Here's the latest on the Columbus-based retailer.

The company that has purchased Big Lots has identified a list of locations that may likely remain open. In a bankruptcy court filing Monday, Gordon Brothers Retail Partners provided a list of 200 locations designated to be taken over by Variety Wholesalers.

It's been roughly five months since discount retailer Big Lots filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In that time, the company has closed more than 500 stores, cutting its footprint down to less than 900 stores as of February 2025.
