Brett Favre is trying to expand his defamation lawsuit against Mississippi Auditor Shad White to include a book White wrote about the misspending of welfare money that was supposed to help some of the poorest people in the United States.

On Tuesday, former Packers football player, Brett Favre announced he suffers from Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s Disease is a brain disorder that impacts movement and speech. It results in uncontrollable movement and tremors.

Favre, 54, revealed the diagnosis while testifying before a U.S. House committee about his role in a controversy over millions of dollars of misspent welfare funds in his home state of Mississippi.
