Things have "cooled" off across Colorado after a sweltering weekend, but now the threat for severe weather grows going into Tuesday.

Temperatures continue to stay below-average for a few more days. Look for highs in the upper 70s to low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday with scattered afternoon storms.

After several days of 90-degree temperatures, Colorado will see a break from the heat with increased chances of severe thunderstorms. Colorado can expect partly sunny skies Monday with cooler conditions and highs in the mid-70s.
