The European Commission yesterday said it plans to delay enforcement of the landmark deforestation-free supply chain law, known as EUDR, for 12 months.

The Commission published guidance documents to the regulation and proposed to postpone its entry into application to 30 December 2025.

The EUDR, which will require that any company that sells a product containing wood in the European Union prove that its source tree was not cut down in a deforested region, is likely to take effect next December,
