VPN by Google is currently available on Pixel 7 and newer phones, but not the Pixel Tablet. With Android 15 QPR2, Google appears to be adding support for the Pixel Tablet. Multiple reports indicate that Pixel Tablet users can now connect to VPN by Google, including on the stable Android 15 build.

Google is preparing to upgrade the kernel version of all Tensor-powered Pixels to Linux 6.1 in Android 15 QPR2.

The rollout of OxygenOS 15 makes the OnePlus Pad 2 the first non-Pixel tablet to be updated to Android 15. Apart from the Pixel Tablet, all other Android tablets still run Android 14.

For Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1, Google has made this first build available to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

The Pixel Tablet is a fantastic device that I've been using a lot around the house, but one thing that has consistently bugged me is the duplicate notifications. Thankfully, with the launch of Android 15,

Google's Pixel 6 Android version update guarantee ending this year also doesn't necessarily disqualify the phone from future feature updates. Google's support docs specify that the Pixel 6's full five-year update lifespan "may also include Pixel drops" that can add new functionality.

With the upcoming Android 15 QPR2 release, the VPN by Google service will likely be available for the Pixel Tablet. VPN by Google is the replacement to Google One’s VPN service and is available exclusively for free on the Pixel 7 and later.

When VPN by Google rolled out to older Pixel phones in June, the Pixel Tablet was excluded, though that might be changing.
