MONDAY, June 2, 2025 (HealthDay News) — A growing salmonella outbreak tied to cucumbers has made at least 45 people sick across 18 states, U.S. health officials have warned. The cucumbers came from Bedner Growers, a Florida-based company, and were distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales, the Associated Press reported.

The outbreak, which was traced to a grower in Florida, has spread to 18 states, according to the C.D.C. Several distributors and stores, including Target, have recalled products containing cucumbers.

Target is the latest retailer to announce a recall of salmonella-linked cucumbers – and products made with them.
