In a spin-off of “Ugliest House in America,” HGTV is airing an episode of “Scariest Home in America” featuring the infamous Sallie House in Atchison. This episode focuses on three scary Midwest-region houses in one episode, giving the homeowners a shot at a $150,000 makeover by designer Alison Victoria of the HGTV show “Windy City Rehab.”

Both homes will be featured on HGTV’s show of the same name Friday night, when the seasonal series hosted by actress and comedian Retta, of “Parks and Recreation” fame, premieres.

HGTV traveled to some of the creepiest homes in America, including a haunted house in Atchison, Kansas and the Haunted Castle House in Brumley, Missouri.

Retta will tour nine eerie and terrifying houses through the Midwest, Northeast and South, eventually determining one the scariest house in America.
