Aitana Bonmatí has scored in extra time to guide Spain to its first Women’s European Championship final with a 1-0 win over Germany.

Spain have advanced to the final of the European Championship for the first time, beating Germany 1-0 in the semi-final of Euro 2025. Spain controlled play throughout the match but could not find a goal in normal time. Aitana Bonmati finally broke through in the 113th minute, beating Ann-Katrin Berger at her near post.

The world champion Spain women's national team looks to defeat Germany for the first time in history and reach the Euro 2025 final in the sides' semifinal showdown in Zurich on Wednesday, July 23. Spain has never beaten Germany, the eight-time European champions, most recently losing in the bronze-medal match at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
