Swanton Sector will implement shortened hours, allowing people to cross the U.S.-Canada border only between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. This change will impact several Northern New York and Vermont border crossings,

Chateauguay, Overton Corners, Rouses Point, and Trout River will go from 24 hours a day to reduced hours on January 6, 2025.

Thirty-eight ports of entry along the U.S. Northern border, including four in New York, will be adjusting their hours of operation in the New Year. Beginning midnight, Jan. 6, 2025, Chateaugay’s port of entry hours will change to 6 a.
