Israel says it will allow a limited amount of humanitarian aid into Gaza even as its "extensive” new ground operations are underway

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday Israel would control the whole of Gaza despite mounting international pressure that forced it to lift a blockade on aid supplies which has left the enclave on the brink of famine.

Israel announces that it will allow some aid into Gaza, after a nearly three-month blockade. It also says it has begun 'extensive' new ground operations.
