Xavier Woods picked up a tainted win against WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on the September 30 episode of WWE RAW. Woods and Mysterio had a heated confrontation on the September 23 episode, as Woods blamed the LWO for the New Day’s loss to the Judgment Day.

Xavier Woods found himself in hot water during WWE Raw when he accidentally pulled off Rey Mysterio's mask in their match. While Woods claimed it was unintentional, the footage suggested otherwise, leaving fans questioning his motives. Backstage, Kofi Kingston confirmed that Woods would face Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship next week.

Kofi Kingston revealed that he was offered a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Title by Jey Uso next Monday on WWE Raw. Instead of accepting the offer, Kingston gave the shot to Xavier Woods, who had just come off a victory over Rey Mysterio.

The New Day is determined to get back on track on WWE RAW. On the September 16 episode of WWE RAW, Xavier Woods was clearly frustrated after the New Day unsuccessfully challenged the Judgment Day for the WWE World Tag Team Championship.
