Both Central Maine Power in southern and central sections of the state, and Versant Power, covering the north and Downeast parts of Maine are reported thousands of outages on Friday.

About 318 CMP customers are without power according to the live outage list. Roughly 658 of Versant’s customers are without power according to the live outage map.

According to Versant Power, there are 23,795 outages in Aroostook County and 65,000 across their service territory. Crews started restoration efforts at 6am Thursday morning.

Source: Central Maine Power Versant Power, which serves northern and eastern Maine, reported more than 18,000 outages Friday morning, primarily in the greater Bangor region.
