One MLB insider believes the New York Yankees will get "outbid" for superstar outfielder Juan Soto in free agency.

During his team’s first inning against the hosting New York Yankees, Skenes impressively struck out Juan Soto and Aaron Judge back-to-back to keep New York from getting on base with two of its best players.

“And I do think in the end, the Yankees are going to be outbid by somebody. I can’t see Hal (Steinbrenner) going to nutty numbers and we don’t know if (New York Mets owner) Steve Cohen is going to do like he does with some of his art and just blow the competition out of the water.”

Aaron Judge and Juan Soto each cleared 120 walks and 120 runs in 2024, making the New York Yankees duo the first pair of teammates in MLB history to do so.
