It earned McDavid a three-game suspension, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced Monday.

NEW YORK (AP) — Three-time NHL MVP Connor McDavid has been suspended three games for cross-checking Vancouver’s Conor Garland in the head.

EDMONTON -- Connor McDavid will be back in the lineup for the Edmonton Oilers when they host the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Place on Monday (9:30 p.m. ET; TVAS, SNW, KONG, KHN), having served his three-game suspension for cross-checking Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland on Jan. 18.

Cherry continued by saying that “he should go to Buffalo” after learning of the most recent potential Pettersson trade proposal. Cherry’s son, Tim, added on by claiming that both Pettersson and J.T. Miller should “go home” to fix the reported rift between them.
