The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) upgraded a blueberry recall this week to the highest risk level amid concerns of contamination.  The FDA raised the recall of 400 boxes that weigh 30 pounds

Alma Pak International has issued a voluntary recall of bulk organic blueberries, affecting 400 boxes, each containing 30 pounds of the fruit.

Alma Pak issued the initial recall on June 1, but the FDA upgraded the recall to Class I, the highest classification, on July 1. This classification means there’s a “reasonable probability” that using the product can cause serious health effects or death.
