The Vision Pro is officially set to receive another “immersive experience” – this time from Metallica, which filmed the work at a Mexico City concert last year. Apple disclosed Metallica’s namesake Vision Pro release (plus different projects for the high-end headset) in a brief announcement.

One of the world's best-selling rock bands partnered with Apple to create an immersive film that gives you a front-row concert seat. And you don't have to own a Vision Pro headset to see it.

It’s from real concert footage recorded during the last of the band’s Mexico City gigs, on September 29, 2024. Apple recorded the show using 14 camera rigs, shooting at 8K resolution, with views across the stage and the arena.
