A century by Kusal Mendis and incredible spells by spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Dunith Wellalage helped Sri Lanka complete a series whitewash against Australia, thumping the world champions by 174 runs in the second ODI at Colombo on Friday.

International form has continued, humiliated by Sri Lanka in a record-breaking defeat ahead of this month’s Champions Trophy in Pakistan and the UAE.

The island nation Sri Lanka (SL) are hosting Australia (AUS) in a two-match ODI series. Notably, the series opener (first ODI) turned out to be a nailbiter which was played on Wednesday, February 12.
