South Africa have recalled all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy to their 15-player squad for next month's two-test tour of Bangladesh as one of three frontline spin options. Muthusamy, 30, played the last of his three tests in March 2023 and joins Keshav Maharaj and Dane Piedt as the specialist slow-bowling options in the squad.

Senuran Muthusamy has been recalled and Dane Piedt has got another go alongside Keshav Maharaj as South Africa named three spinners for their two-Test tour of Bangladesh in October. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has given the green light for a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, kicking off on October 21. This is a major win for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which was eager to host South Africa despite some security worries.

The Proteas will next head to Chattogram, where they will play the second Test match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, starting on October 29th. The last time the two teams met in the longest format was in early 2022 when Bangladesh toured South Africa.
