US prosecutors are expected to submit a document Wednesday that could ask for Google's Alphabet parent company to sell off its Chrome browser, among other remedies. Whether that actually happens won't be decided until 2025.

The recommendation from the DOJ to federal judge Amit Mehta, according to the report, would be one step that Google will take. The DOJ is also reportedly seeking changes related to the company's AI and Android businesses. The request would also include new data-licensing requirements for Google.
