Tippett scores twice for Flyers in win against Oilers
PHILADELPHIA -- Owen Tippett scored two goals in his return from injury for the Philadelphia Flyers in a 6-3 win against the Edmonton Oilers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday. Tippett, a forward, hadn’t played since Jan. 29. He missed five games because of an upper-body injury.
After the 4 Nations drama and 51st state conjecture, it was just hockey and the Flyers came away with 2 points.
On Saturday, the Flyers will host Kris Knoblauch's defending Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers (34-17-4).
