A suspected domestic dispute and an apparent car burglary led to Fort Worth's first two homicides of 2025, police said.

Detectives with the Fort Worth Police Department are investigating the city’s first two homicides of 2025, officials said in a statement Wednesday morning. The first homicide occurred at around 1 a.m. at a residence in the 8800 block of Sabinas Trail, according to police call records.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A man was killed by an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Fort Worth gun range on Monday, Fort Worth Police confirmed. Officers responded to a shooting call around 8:49 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the Smart Shoot gun range, located at 10305 North Freeway Service Road, according to Fort Worth police.

A motorcyclist died in a crash in north Fort Worth on Tuesday, Dec. 31, police said. Around 4:51 p.m., officers respond to a major accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at 7600 N. Beach St. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and another person sustained minor injuries, MedStar confirmed.
