According to a recent report, WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis will be returning to the boxing ring in December.

Gervonta Davis will reportedly fight Lamont Roach Jr. after the WBA gave the latter permission to move up from 130 pounds. Davis will defend his WBA Lightweight Title from Houston on an Amazon Prime Video PPV on December 14.

That’s the situation with Gervonta “Tank” Davis’ next fight, which could wind up putting the WBA lightweight titleholder against WBA junior lightweight titleholder Lamont Roach Jr. Nothing is official yet,

Fans finally know who Gervonta Davis will make his next WBA lightweight title defence against after the sanctioning body officially announced his next opponent.

“If Roach beats Davis in the fight, he will be given five days to send his decision to the WBA on which of the two titles he will keep and defend,” said the WBA. “On the other hand, if he were to lose the bout, he will be required to fight the official 130-pound challenger within 120 days of the Davis fight.”
