The City of Richmond and surrounding Henrico County are under a water boil advisory after a snow-related power outage impacted Richmond’s main water plant along the James River.

Henrico County issued a boil water advisory Wednesday afternoon, on the third day of a regional water emergency triggered by a power outage at Richmond’s water treatment plant on Monday, Jan. 6 caused by a winter storm.

Henrico County officials have issued an immediate boil water advisory for all residents despite water being restored to some.
