U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley still is contemplating the decision of whether he would select himself if he doesn’t qualify on points.

Ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, next month, Rory McIlroy expressed his belief that it isn't possible to be a successful playing captain in a Ryder Cup.

Rory McIlroy believes the Ryder Cup has become too big of an event for a captain to play in the matches and said Wednesday he already shot down the idea when approached about doing it himself someday.
