Linda Hamilton will forever be known for her role as Sarah Connor in The Terminator and its sequels, and now, over 40 years after the original movie first wowed audiences and became a sleeper hit, she's the latest '80s star to join the cast of Stranger Things.

One of the biggest references is a throwback to the classic Steven Spielberg movie Jurassic Park, with Lucas and Max hiding behind a table, reminiscent of the scene in the first movie where they’re being hunted through the facility by a velociraptor. Of course, the difference here is that they’re being hunted down by Demodog (s)!

As of now, the only way to watch The Strangers: Chapter 1 is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, May 17. You can find a local showing on Fandango .

As of July 2025, Netflix hasn't officially revealed the duration of individual episodes in Stranger Things Season 5. That said, several interviews featuring the Duffer Brothers and cast members have provided us with an idea.
