Russia has launched more than 400 drones and dozens of missiles at Ukraine's capital of Kyiv in a major attack. At least 16 people have been killed in what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says was "one of the most horrific attacks" since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

The latest Russian missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv overnight on Tuesday killing at least 14 people and wounding more than three dozen others was "pure terrorism", President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

At least 14 people were killed as explosions echoed across the Ukrainian capital for almost nine hours destroying dozens of apartments.
