Michigan scored another commitment on the defensive side of the ball on Tuesday. Liberty Hill (Texas) three-star lineman Alister Vallejo became the second class of 2026 prospect to verbally pledge to the Wolverines in as many days.

Michigan has the 31st-ranked 2026 recruiting class in the nation after Vallejo's commitment, their ninth of the cycle. The Wolverines are known for developing strong defensive linemen, with defensive tackles Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant both being first-round picks in the recent 2025 NFL draft.
